Jock Auction
Bookreview / March 31, 2015

At first I picked up Jock Auction because the guy on the front reminded me of someone I used to know. I never heard of author Alex Pendragon before, and after I read the story, I know why. The story is hot, filled with sex and easy to read, but it is just someones sexual fantasy written down on paper. It starts off with all the football jocks put up for auction because of some charity. And of course the hottest of them all is bought by the geekiest guy in the class, Craig. The football jock in question, Kyle, doesn’t know how to react but decides to go along for the team. He thinks Craig will have him do some cleaning up or something. So when he goes to Craig’s house the next Saturday, he is ready for it. But then Craig admits he has the hots for Kyle in the worst way. Kyle is surprised and doesn’t know what to do. But of course after a little while, they have sex and it turns out to be the hottest sex he ever had. I guess you can pretty much predict the rest. Kyle is not sure if he…

Off Campus – Bend or Break #1
Bookreview / March 31, 2015

Off Campus is part 1 in the Bend or Break series. Being me, I started with part 2 and then part 1. Read the review of part 2┬áhere. In this first part we meet Tom ‘Worthy’ Worthington. Because of a crime his father committed, Tom feels guilty and left alone. He has no money, no friends and is struggling very hard to make sure atleast his education works out. He spends months sleeping in his car, making money wherever he can. Finally he manages to get back into student housing, especially for older students. But his new room comes with a room mate, Reese Anders. And Reese is gay, very gay and not ashamed about it. He is determined to get Tom out of his room as soon as possible. And the way to do it is to drag a different boy in his bed every day and have sex as much as possible to make Tom feel uncomfortable. But does it make Tom feel that way? Tom finds it more and more difficult to ignore his feelings, wants and desires. Until one night….. but Tom is sure he is not good enough for Reese and Reese will run for…

Nothing Like Paris – Bend or Break #2
Bookreview / March 27, 2015

Nothing Like Paris is the second novel in the Bend or Break series and of course is a continuation of the events in part 1. In part 1 we met Jack Tarkington who got kicked out of college for harassing some guy. He has no choice but to return home to the small Iowa town he once ran away from. And in returning he also meets up again with his old lover Miguel (who prefers to be called Mike), now the owner of a small coffeeshop in town. They never officially ended their relationship, Jack just left town without ending it. Miguel is still angry with Jack, but there is no denying the attraction that is still there between them. Will they be able to set aside their diffences and make it work once again? Will they stay together this time? I can’t remember ever reading anything by this author, but I must say I really liked this story. Of course I read part 2 before part 1, but that doesn’t really matter. Both books can be read separate without missing to much. Characters are described well, the setting is rural America, which I love very much. The attraction and…

Ugly
Bookreview / March 25, 2015

Ugly is a novel by Mark Roeder in his long running Gay Boys series. When I first started reading M-M romance I was really quite taken by Roeder novels and I really loved them. But the more I read of them, the more they start to annoy me. They are so wrong and unbelievable on many levels. First of all, literally everyone is gay or at the very least bi. Every single guy is drop dead gorgeous, bulky and muscled. Everyone is good at sports and all the pretty boys also like each other and pare off together. Some boys are like 16 years old or so, but they already know for sure they are gay and have already met the love of their life and are determined to stay with them for the rest of their lives. I mean honestly, how big are the odds of finding a town with at least 75 % gay people in the ages of 16 to 25? But very well, back to this novel. In this story we meet Julian. He is the son of the local funeral home owner and he is convinced he is ugly and will never find a friend…

Full Disclosure – Nice Guys #2
Bookreview / March 25, 2015

Full Disclosure is the next novel in the Nice Guys series by Kindle Alexander. As I have said before Alexander books are a bit too much for me. But this one wasn’t that bad at all. In the first book we already met Mitch Knox as a side character. In this second book it is all about him. He is a Deputy Marshal dedicated to his job and convinced there is no room in his life for romance. One night hook ups are fine, but he knows for sure no one would be able to keep up with his life and would be willing to stay with him. But then he meets Cody Turner in a night club. Cody is a Texas State Trooper who dreams of being a Texas Ranger one day. His boss makes him take a two week vacation. He goes to a night club and meets Mitch there. They hit it off straight away and pretty soon romance is everywhere. Suddenly a case that Mitch is dying to finish makes it to the national news and even Cody is caught up in it. Will they both survive the things happening all around them? This book is…

Double Full – Nice Guys #1
Bookreview / March 20, 2015

Double Full is the first part in the Nice Guys series by Kindle Alexander. I have read books by Kindle before and so far they have always been to sweet, to perfect and to nice for me. This one is no different I’m sad to say. Colton Michaels is an up and coming football hero who is secretly gay. His agent and his father persuade him to never reveal his identity because it would jeopardize his career. But one late night he makes a pass at Jace Montgomery, a cheerleader for the team. They have sex in the locker room and fall in love. But in the end Colton is afraid and breaks off the affair, only to find a girlfriend he doesn’t love, live a life he doesn’t want and be very unhappy. He turns to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. Jace has never forgotten Colton, but decided he would never return and moved on with his life. Almost 10 years later, Colton has to decide what to do with his life and make some difficult choices in life. Will they be able to repair things? Or will it never happen again? Now don’t get me wrong,…
