Spencer Cohen, Book 1 – The Spencer Cohen Series #1
Bookreview / February 18, 2016

Spencer Cohen is a new book series by N.R. Walker, one of my all time favorite authors to date as you all know. She was kind enough to let me read this book as an ARC and I have fallen in love all over again, I am telling you right now. After writing the Red Dirt Heart Series there was a small dip with the Cronins Key series, but this one more than makes up for it. I loved this first part and cannot wait for more. Spencer Cohen recently moved from Australia to the USA. To make some money he has made a business out of getting answers in your relationship. When you hire him, he will play the role of your new lover. The reason is to either make your ex jealous and want you back or to make sure your ex has dumped you for the right reason. Either way, you get an answer about where you stand with your ex lover. The ex would want you back or just walk away, so you knew where you stood. The whole business rests on Spencer never really falling in love with one of his clients of course. And…

How the Cookie Crumbles
Blogtour , Bookteaser / February 17, 2016

How the Cookie Crumbles is a novel by Jaime Samms and is part of the Bluewater Bay Universe. I have read several of the books set in this small town and they are all great. So please welcome Jaime to the blog with her fantastic new novel. And to make things even better there is a special prize to be won for anyone who leaves a comment on the tour. About How the Cookie Crumbles After losing a rigged cooking show competition—and a potential lover—to another baker, Frederic Jackson packs up his considerable baggage and moves to Bluewater Bay. He uses the network’s hush money to buy a new bakery where he hopes the small town’s revitalized economy will let him start anew. Blaire Caruthers never wanted to work for his father at Caruthers Industries. He should have known that fixing the company’s show results was a mistake, and that choosing another man over kind, generous Frederic was an even bigger one. But the damage is done. To escape the fallout, he’s gone to Bluewater Bay to oversee the company’s interest in Wolf’s Landing merchandise. Stuck in a small, nowhere town doing a job he hates, Blaire wants nothing more…

Red Dirt Christmas – Red Dirt #3.5
Bookreview / February 16, 2016

Red Dirt Christmas is, as the title shows, part of the Red Dirt Heart series by N.R. Walker and is meant as a little add on the story telling about the first Christmas Travis and Charlie spend together at Sutton Station, in the middle of the outback Australia. And just as the other 4 books in the series, I loved this small add on as well. This book is set somewhere between book 3 and book 4, so whatever happens in book 4 hasn’t happened yet. There is no marriage yet and some other things are not present yet either. Life at Sutton Station has never been better. Business is good, everyone is happy and all is going well. Except that Christmas is just around the corner and Travis really misses the way it was celebrated at home. But at Sutton Station Christmas is just another working day like all the others and no one really bothers about it. But Charlie knows that this Christmas is the first Christmas Travis spends at Sutton Station and far away from his family so he knows he has to make this a Christmas to remember. Until now they never bothered much with decorations, a…

Bookreview / February 15, 2016

Stranded is a novel by HelenKay Dimon. I participated in the blogtour some time ago and now read the book. And I find myself in trouble over this one. The story sounds great and I would say it had so much potential, but somehow it never worked out. A true spy thriller in the making, but half way in the story it just got lost or something. Kyle Cabe was a gun for hire and has now retired. But his boss asks him to do one final thing for him. It seems easy enough, get a message to another retired operative somewhere out in the cold of Alaska. But what Cabe doesn’t know is that the other person he is going to meet is the one person he never wanted to meet again, Brax Hughes. Kyle and Brax were together for a short time, but it ended when Brax shot Kyle and left him for dead, or so he thought. And now Brax is out hiding in Alaska and he has made sure that Kyle will come and meet him there. Either they will talk it out or they will both end up dead, there are no other options. When…
