Midlife Crisis
Blogtour , Bookteaser / August 31, 2017

About Midlife Crisis Cam McGhee grew up like any other small-town Texas farm boy: he played football, went to church every Sunday, and married his high school sweetheart. But thirty-five years after he said “I do,” Cam finds himself nursing a beer in a gay bar, thinking about what might have been. Dave Montoya is confident, self-assured, and cautiously single. But when he meets shy, uncertain, and clearly-still-not-out Cam in a coffee shop in Austin, his reservations about getting seriously involved again disappear. Cam is everything he’s looking for in a partner . . . almost, anyway. No matter how much Dave wants him, and how good they are together, Cam can’t bring himself to openly embrace the life he was meant to live. After all, when his secret finally gets out, he faces the very real possibility of losing everything that kept him going for the first fifty years of his life, just like he’s feared for so long. But with a little faith—and a lot of love—his dream of living fully, truly, as himself might finally be within reach. Controlled Burn
Blogtour , Bookteaser / August 16, 2017

Hello! I’m Erin, and welcome to the blog tour for my m/m college romance, Controlled Burn! I can’t wait for you to meet Joel and Paulie, and hope you enjoy their romance as much as I enjoyed writing it. Follow along as I stop off at several blogs throughout the week, and don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a $25 Riptide Publishing gift card! About Controlled Burn At eighteen, Joel Smith’s life fell to pieces. His boyfriend died in a car crash while reading a sext from him, the local newspaper outed them both in the aftermath, and his parents got a divorce. Joel did everything possible to outrun his past: he moved to Oklahoma for college, legally changed his name, and started over. Since then, he hasn’t let anyone get close—not his classmates, not his roommate, and definitely not his hookups. The strategy has served him well for over three years. Why would he change it now? But Joel doesn’t plan on the articles about his boyfriend’s death being used as a case study in one of his classes. And he doesn’t plan on Paulie McPherson, who is sweet and giving and fun. In…

Begin Again – Rags and Riches #9
Bookreview / August 13, 2017

Begin Again is the latest addition to the Rags and Riches series by E.M. Leya. The basic principle of the series is always the same. Two different people meet, one is always poor or otherwise in a bad state, and the other one is rich or at least better of. They meet and hit it off straight away, overcoming all the problems between them. I have read every other part in the series and I have always loved them. And this latest part is no difference, it was a heart warming story all over again. But since we are already at part 9, I am beginning to wonder how long you can keep the series going. At some point all the possible combinations must run out I guess. Tyler (who we already met in an earlier book from the series) had it all in his life. The perfect job, the perfect boyfriend and the perfect friends. But now it is all gone. He has made bad choices, nurtured a drug addiction and suffered from severe anger issues. In the end it landed him in jail for three months, and when he is released he has nothing and is forced to…
