When Riptide asked me to be a part of their blog tour for Blueberry Boys…
Blueberry Boys is a novel by Vanessa North. I participated in the blogtour for this book, but didn’t get around to reading it until now. And I am glad I did, because it is a wonderfully sweet novel and I think it will make everyone happy when they read it.
Connor Graham is a city boy all the way, living and working in New York City. He is a celebrated fashion photographer, enjoying the good life. But one day his uncles dies and he is forced to return to the family farm, where they are growing blueberries. All he wants to do is sell the place asap and get on with his life. That is, until he meets the man that has been farming the place for the last several years.
Jed Jones is very shy and has great difficulty in connecting with other people. All he wants is some land for himself and a man to share it with. But he is confined within his church and family and wants to be accepted for what and who he is. And now his precious farm is in the hands of Connor Graham, so maybe he will loose whatever he has now.
But when Jed meets Connor for the first time, there is an instant connection between them and all they want is to be together. But is it really possible for a city boy and a shy farmer to be together? Will they find a way to be together no matter what any one else thinks?
I have read several Vanessa North books and I have always liked them. And this one is no different. Sweet, romantic and just very well written. I really felt for Connor and Jed and I really think they deserved each other in the end. What a great ending….
I just loved Jed in all his shyness and awkwardness. It took so much for him to do what he wanted to do but he did it anyway. And Connor really did try to make Jed feel as comfortable as possible in whatever he did and I admire him for that.
