This book falls in the Young Adult category, so as expected there is no sex.…
Lukas Wolf is an arson investigator and really really wants to work alone. He doesn’t need a partner, doesn’t want a partner. Unfortunately his boss thinks otherwise and puts him together with Austin Kinsley. Lukas thinks Austin is a young and eager graduate and he really doesn’t need that.
Austin moved to Tampa Bay to reconnect with his cousin Thomas Flame. He applied for the arson investigator job because it would be his dream job and he would do anything to get it. But getting the job is the easy part, now he has to learn to work with his new partner Wolf. And Austin has a secret, a secret he doesn’t tell anyone about. He has a secret craving for pain, the more the better. And he needs a partner who understands that, and who doesn’t stop at the first sign of pain.
He finds a release for his cravings in a certain bar, where he hooks up with random guys. But so far he never found anyone who can give him what he wants. Until he meets a new Master, one that doesn’t stop and doesn’t do easy.
Lukas Wolf is a Dom Master in secret and hides behind a mask when he goes out to a bar. Imagine his surprise when one day he sees a new slave who is everything he ever wanted and who makes him feel things he has never felt before. But will they only hook up for fun or will there be anything more serious?
As I stated I am not into BDSM and I don’t know very much about it. The only knowledge I have is what I read on the net and what I see on tv. But reading this book gives you a pretty good idea also. Some people really need pain to get off and everyone has different things they like and that turn them on. I could somewhat relate to Austin, but I don’t pretend to understand it.
This novel is set in the same universe as Guns & Hoses in which Thomas Flame is introduced. If you want to know more about him, that is the novel to read. Setting this book in the same universe works out really well in my opinion. It provides a known background and a believable story for Lukas and Austin. So this book is also highly recommended by me.
