His Winter Heart: Gay Romance

May 4, 2015

His Winter Heart: Gay Romance is a novel by Trina Solet, so far the first I have read from this author. But after reading this one, it won’t be the last. I really like her writing style and the way she builds characters and makes them play in a story together.

Wes is a big, lonely and somewhat shy man. He rarely leaves his apartment and likes to spend his time alone. One night he goes out to dinner in a local cafe and meets Colin. Colin is young, attractive and very impulsive. He is desperately looking for a place to sleep because he doesn’t want to spend the night on the street again. Wes invites him to come home with him, just to sleep, nothing more.

Colin is instantly attracted to Wes and is sure there is much more to this man than what meets the eye. He sets out to find everything that Wes has been hiding so far and is afraid to show to someone else. Wes thinks Colin is far too young for him and that Colin could never want him in the way he wants Colin. But there is no stopping Colin and slowly Wes starts to learn that Colin might just be the best thing that ever happened to him.

Colin is a great character and he made me laugh at points. He refuses to give up when he wants something and doesn’t stop until he gets what he wants. Wes is a big strong guy, but even he has to give in at some point. I recommend this book very much to all readers.
