Safe Place – Rainbow Place #2
Bookreview / October 24, 2018

Safe Place is part 2 in the Rainbow Place series by Jay Northcote, situated in the same universe as part 1, so characters from part 1 can be in this book as well, but won’t be playing the lead role. Alex is almost 18 and can’t wait to get out of the little town of Porthladock. Alex is gay, but firmly in the closet. His father is oppressive influence and a homophobe so Alex doesn’t really want to come out while he is still at home. Just one more exam and he can go to uni and be the person he always wanted to be. But when he fails his exam, it means he is stuck in town for a while longer and to make things even worse, he has to work for his dad. There is only one thing in his life that makes it worthwhile and that is Cam. Cam is bisexual and quite happy with it, but doesn’t want to broadcast it out in the world. His social life is all about rugby and hanging out with friends. He has always had a crush on Alex, but since Alex is 6 years younger, Cam is not sure…

RELAY is an enemies-to-lovers, second chance romance between Alex, the team captain, and his closeted ex, Dane, swimming’s biggest star. Elected by his teammates to helm the US Men’s Swim Team, he proudly accepts the role, despite juggling endless training, team administrative work, and helping out on the family farm. And despite his ex-lover, Dane Ellis—swimming’s biggest star—also making the Olympic Team. Louder Than Words – More Than Words #2
Bookreview / October 24, 2016

Louder Than Words is part 2 or part 3 in the series, depending on which series you read. Somewhere along the line a very confusing renumbering has taken places and now I am somewhat lost as to which part goes where exactly. Maybe a little more explanation would have been in order. But since I love this series so much I still knew I had to read this one. Alex survived a turbulent few months. Getting out of an abusive house, finding a new boyfriend and moving in with said boyfriend. He finally manages to find some peace and quiet and is able to think about what he wants from life. But there is only one thing his boyfriend Andreas has always wanted, to be a cop. He wants to make sure no kid ever has to be in the same situation he was in and he thinks being a cop makes that possible. But to become a cop he has to spend a year in the army, far away from home and from Alex. Will their very new relationship be able to survive that? And what will Alex do when Andreas is so far away? You can find TT…

More Than Words – More than Anything #2
Bookreview / August 12, 2016

More Than Words is the latest addition to the More than Anything series by T.T. Kove. After reading part 1 I knew this second part had to be good and I was not disappointed at all. I loved it all the way and read it with great pleasure. Alex had a rough life and he just can’t take it anymore. He has no friends, nothing to live for and nobody will miss him when he is gone. So one day he decides it might be for the best if he clears out his locker, get out of school and just put and end to it all. But then some jerk crashes into him and sends all his belongings scattering across the floor. The misery never seems to end for Alex. All of a sudden someone kneels down beside him and helps him gathering his stuff together again. Alex is surprised to see Andreas, best friend with the guy who has been bullying Alex the worst of all. Why would a guy like Andreas help Alex? What does he want from him? Andreas turns out to be nothing like his friends. He is interested in Alex and the things he does and…

Rock Rod Studios Presents
Bookreview / November 15, 2015

Rock Rod Studios Presents is a series by Emory Vargas and is all about Alex and his first steps on the gay for pay path. In total there are three parts in the series, each about 20 to 30 pages long, so it provides for a quick read. So far I have read two of them, but they don’t do much for me. It is exactly as you would describe a sexual fantasie for a young gay boy. In the first part ‘Alex Undone‘ we meet up with young Alex as he enters the studio where his first gay for pay shoot is about to happen. He has no idea what to expect and is very very nervous. He answered an add on Craigslist and ended up accepting this unusual job. The first thing Alex sees when he enters the studio is Peter, the very hot and very tattooed administrative assistant. Peter manages to calm Alex down a bit and makes sure he is ready for what is coming. When Alex returns from some mind blowing sex, he is in no state to go home alone. Peter ends up taking him home and taking care of him until he comes…

My Prince
Bookreview / November 7, 2015

My Prince is the new novel by Anna Martin and I had a very special reason to read this book. One of the MC’s in this book is Alex, Prince of the Netherlands. And since I live in the Netherlands, I really wanted to read this one. It seems that Anna Martin invented a complete new line on our royal house and did a really great job of it. I finished this book in about 1 hour, that is how much I loved it. George Maguire was born on the wrong side of the track as they call it. Growing up in a bad part of town, he worked very hard to get out of there and start of his career as a design engineer. And he is also gay, but only his parents and older brother know about it. So one night he goes clubbing looking for a one night stand and runs in to Alexander van Amsberg, or Alex for short. Alex is charming, classy and apparently a Prince of the Netherlands, nephew to the current king. They have one night of explosive passion together and in the morning George leaves, expecting to never hear from the guy…
