Bookreview / July 24, 2015

Fire and Ice is the second novel in the Carlisle cops series by Andrew Grey. As the first part the setting is in the world of police and law enforcement, where men have to be tough and emotion is kept on a tight leash. But everybody needs love, even a stone hard cop…. Carter Schunk is a dedicated police officer with a very big heart, but a somewhat scarred past. One day he is called on the scene of a domestic disturbance and finds a woman, fatally injured and a small boy, Alex, in desperate need of care and love. He calls in help and in walks the one man he never wanted to see again…. Donald (Ice) Ickle lived the hard life and refuses to share his life with anyone, or even let anyone into his heart. He vowed never to be hurt again and also needs some emotional distance to do the work he does. Placing children into foster care requires cold choices sometimes. He had a one night stand with Carter in the past and thought that was it. But when he meets the man again on the scene of a crime, old feelings and emotions start…
