Spencer Cohen, Book 3 – The Spencer Cohen Series #3
Bookreview / April 26, 2016

Spencer Cohen is the new series by N.R. Walker and with book 3, the series comes to an end. I received this part as an ARC and I am so glad I did. I loved part 1 and part 2 so I was quite sure I would love this last part as well. And yes I did. N.R. Walker already was one of my auto buy authors, but with the Spencer Cohen series she has made me fall in love with her novels all over again. I urge each and everyone of you to buy these novels, you will NOT be disappointed. As we already learned in the other parts Spencer and Andrew are now in a full on relationship. Spencer needs to learn to share his emotions and Andrew needs to learn to not overthink everything, but open up and let someone in. Both guys are working hard and things are looking up for both of them. But when Spencer receives a phone call from someone from his past, things might just change all over again. Spencer has to make some tough decisions and Andrew is sure that Spencer will push him out and run away. So will they be…

Spencer Cohen, Book 2 – The Spencer Cohen Series #2
Bookreview / April 1, 2016

Spencer Cohen, Book 2 takes off right were we stopped in Book 1. Spencer and Andrew go from fake boyfriends to real boyfriends and now must deal with all the problems that come along with that. N.R. Walker once again allowed me to read this one as an ARC and I thank her very much for it. I have enjoyed part 2 just as much as I have enjoyed part 1 and personally I think this new series will be one for the history books once again. Both Spencer and Andrew really want this new relation to work and they are willing to work for it. Spencer must learn to share some secrets of his past and Andrew must learn to be able to make mistakes and learn from them. Nothing in life is certain and they both need to realize that. While working on their relation, Spencer decides to take on a new client for his business. But what will Andrew think of that? Will he be able to see the difference between the real and the fake? And when the client turns out to be much deeper in trouble than they thought the boys are forced to work…

Spencer Cohen, Book 1 – The Spencer Cohen Series #1
Bookreview / February 18, 2016

Spencer Cohen is a new book series by N.R. Walker, one of my all time favorite authors to date as you all know. She was kind enough to let me read this book as an ARC and I have fallen in love all over again, I am telling you right now. After writing the Red Dirt Heart Series there was a small dip with the Cronins Key series, but this one more than makes up for it. I loved this first part and cannot wait for more. Spencer Cohen recently moved from Australia to the USA. To make some money he has made a business out of getting answers in your relationship. When you hire him, he will play the role of your new lover. The reason is to either make your ex jealous and want you back or to make sure your ex has dumped you for the right reason. Either way, you get an answer about where you stand with your ex lover. The ex would want you back or just walk away, so you knew where you stood. The whole business rests on Spencer never really falling in love with one of his clients of course. And…

Red Dirt Christmas – Red Dirt #3.5
Bookreview / February 16, 2016

Red Dirt Christmas is, as the title shows, part of the Red Dirt Heart series by N.R. Walker and is meant as a little add on the story telling about the first Christmas Travis and Charlie spend together at Sutton Station, in the middle of the outback Australia. And just as the other 4 books in the series, I loved this small add on as well. This book is set somewhere between book 3 and book 4, so whatever happens in book 4 hasn’t happened yet. There is no marriage yet and some other things are not present yet either. Life at Sutton Station has never been better. Business is good, everyone is happy and all is going well. Except that Christmas is just around the corner and Travis really misses the way it was celebrated at home. But at Sutton Station Christmas is just another working day like all the others and no one really bothers about it. But Charlie knows that this Christmas is the first Christmas Travis spends at Sutton Station and far away from his family so he knows he has to make this a Christmas to remember. Until now they never bothered much with decorations, a…

Stealing Innocents
Blogtour , Bookteaser / January 13, 2016

Stealing Innocents is the new novel by Lisa Henry, writing as Cari Waites. It is all about the darker side of life and things that not many of us will ever experience. If you would dare to scratch the surface of ordinary life, you may find a sick and horrible world underneath. A true nightmare world where villains and victims, predators and prey live and where the normal rules of life do not apply. This book is not for the faint of heart, so be aware when you read it. Where you’ll find people like Danny, the boy who sells himself to pay for his father’s gambling debts and ends up in a situation more twisted than he ever imagined. Or Troy, the cop whose obsession with saving a brutalized human trafficking victim turns deadly. Or Drew, the mental patient who begins to suspect his nightly delusions of abuse by his doctor are actually real. Or David, the cuckolded husband who decides the best way to get revenge is to seduce his wife’s barely legal son. Stealing Innocents is an exploration of our darkest human impulses, where sex is power, love is horror, and there’s no such thing as a happy…

Awkward in Love
Bookreview / December 14, 2015

Awkward in Love is a novel by Lily Adile Lamb, a Turkish writer of LGBT stories. I have never read anything by this author before, but this story certainly isn’t a bad start. Provided that the story is some what easy and superficial, it does make you feel good and gives you a small glance of Turkish traditions. Ilhan is a young Turkish man living in his own apartment, and sort of studying. What he really wants is to open his own cafe and make other people happy, but his father will have none of it. As long as his father pays for everything, he has to do what his father says. Ilhan is also gay and has a major crush on the buildings caretaker John. But no matter what he does, John doesn’t seem to notice him in any way. John is always watching Ilhan walking around in his too tight clothes, but he is sure the young Turk will never look at him the way he wants him to. John has no education and is only a maintenance man, so why would anyone look at him twice. And John is blind to all the ways Ilhan tries to…
