What Happens at Christmas
Bookreview , Bookteaser / November 19, 2015

What Happens at Christmas is the latest novel by Jay Northcote. It was send to me as an ARC and I gladly provide a review for this book. Christmas has always been a special time of the year for me and what could be better than this sweet story to match it. I am sure everyone will love this story just as much as I did. Justin is recently single and not happy about it. The company Christmas party is coming up and he is sure his ex will be there with his new lover. And he has no one to go with. That is, until Sean, his best friend and long time secret crush offers to go with him and pretend to be his new lover. Sean has always been in love with Justin but never told him about it. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because there has never been a good time to do so. So he has kept his distance and tried to be just friends. So he cannot believe he offered to be Justin’s fake boyfriend, but he is even more surprised that Justin accepts. So what could go wrong? They both know it…

90’s Playlist
Bookreview / October 13, 2015

I received 90’s Playlist as an ARC and I read it with pleasure. It is an anthology consisting of six stories. The idea is that they are about being young in the 90’s and all stories are based on a specific song of that period. In an earlier blog some of the writers explained how the story relates to the song they chose. All authors were unknown to me, except one. Amy Jo Cousins also wrote one of the stories in this book. Some stories were excellent, some a little less. But all were a great read, and they weren’t even LBGT in nature sometimes. My Strongest Weakness by Brighton Walsh is a story about a love that is so wrong and yet so good. Goth girl Tia Lanning is banging the big man on campus Mason Brooks and no one can ever find out. But what happens when there love grows to strong to hide? Worthwhile by Audra North is about Jill who moved to England to be with her boyfriend only to be dumped by him on the second day. Now what should she do? Cry and go home or see if there is another cute boy out…

Level Hands – Bend or Break #4
Bookreview / August 7, 2015

Level Hands is the newest addition to the Bend or Break series by Amy Jo Cousin and I was asked to read and review this book as part of an eARC/Blogtour . Of course I agreed knowing how much I loved this series so far. And I was not disappointed, I loved part 4 just as much as the previous three. In part 3 we briefly met Rafael Castro and Denny Winslow. Denny is Cash’s nephew recently out of the closet and Rafael is part of the team that Cash coaches. There definitely was something between Rafael (Rafi) and Denny, but there was no time exploring it. On his 18th birthday Denny persuaded Rafi to kiss him just to know what it feels like to be kissed by another guy. But it never went further than that. This book is set about two years later as Rafi is going to college on a scholarship, the same college that Denny is at. They kept in touch all this time, but haven’t seen each other again after their last encounter. So now they will meet again and they will discover if there is still something between them or not. Tensions are rising…
