The Quarterback
Blogtour , Bookteaser / September 12, 2017

Hello, I’m Mackenzie Blair and I’ve been reading romance novels ever since my mom took me to used book sale after book sale as a teenager. I loved that every romance novel had a happy ending. (Those covers were also pretty scandalous to my small-town mind, so there was probably a good dose of rebellion in my reading as well.) A few years ago, I discovered MM romance, and although I’d considered writing a romance novel for years, it turns out it took an MM story to finally inspire me to finish one! So I hope you enjoy reading THE QUARTERBACK as much as I loved writing it. About The Quarterback In walks Trevor Kim, a gorgeous, pierced, tattooed fellow Bodine student who does massages—without happy endings—to pay for school after his family kicked him out for being gay. Trevor takes one look at Matt and breaks all his own rules about mixing business with pleasure. Matt needs to keep his scholarship, win the National Championship, and survive his asshole father. Instead, he falls in love. Trevor needs to accept that the football god is meant to end up with him rather than a perky cheerleader. It’s time for a…

Dance With Me
Bookreview / January 9, 2016

Dance With Me is a novel by Heidi Cullinan about two people forced together, against all odds and no matter how different they are. Both totally different, yet so made for each other that there is no other way than for them be together forever. Ed Maurer used to be a semi professional football player, but an accident caused him to have a neck injury making sure he can never play again. He is stuck in a dull office job that is sucking the life out of him, but he needs the money to pay rent and keep living. And he absolutely loves volunteering at the local youth center, keeping young people of the street and preventing them from going the wrong way. But there is one person that is constantly bothering him. Dance instructor Laurie Parker, who just cannot seem to stay out of his way. Laurie was once a world famous ballet dancer, but is now volunteering at the youth center to stay out of the way of his mother. His mother is constantly nagging him to get his life back on track and start his career again. The hide out seems to be perfect, except for the…

The Churning
Blogtour , Bookreview , Bookteaser / November 30, 2015

The Churning is a novel by Justin Edison and was sent to me as an ARC requesting a review. I gladly accepted, and read the book last week. Here’s my take on the story. Arman Hessabi is a young, handsome and rich English football player. He is Persian American and takes in all he can get. He really thinks he has deserved all the things coming to him, the alcohol, the women, the money and all the winnings. He lives his life to the fullest and enjoys every minute of it. Until the day he finds himself chained to a chair and surrounded by enemies. Where is he and how did he get here? And most of all, what does he need to do to escape? When he first wakes up he is blindfolded and has no idea where he is or how he got there. Some vague memories of a blond woman and a lot of alcohol, but after that nothing. Let me start of by saying I really don’t like football and have no idea about the rules or how the game is played. And that is what I would really recommend for anyone reading this story, a…

Double Full – Nice Guys #1
Bookreview / March 20, 2015

Double Full is the first part in the Nice Guys series by Kindle Alexander. I have read books by Kindle before and so far they have always been to sweet, to perfect and to nice for me. This one is no different I’m sad to say. Colton Michaels is an up and coming football hero who is secretly gay. His agent and his father persuade him to never reveal his identity because it would jeopardize his career. But one late night he makes a pass at Jace Montgomery, a cheerleader for the team. They have sex in the locker room and fall in love. But in the end Colton is afraid and breaks off the affair, only to find a girlfriend he doesn’t love, live a life he doesn’t want and be very unhappy. He turns to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. Jace has never forgotten Colton, but decided he would never return and moved on with his life. Almost 10 years later, Colton has to decide what to do with his life and make some difficult choices in life. Will they be able to repair things? Or will it never happen again? Now don’t get me wrong,…
