Five Dares
Blogtour , Bookteaser / October 2, 2017

About Five Dares  Andy Tyler has been the class daredevil since middle school. Over the years, he’s convinced his best friend, Jake Masterson, to perform some dangerous-looking stunts with him. But the dare they attempt on the night of their college graduation goes sideways. The firecrackers explode too soon and both of them end up with badly burned palms. But hey, nothing gets the “terrible two-o” down for long, and they recuperate in style at Andy’s family cottage in Cape Cod. As the weeks go by, both Andy and Jake grow frustrated over the inability to use their hands for all sorts of daily activities—including getting off. So Andy begins a new series of dares that don’t just cross the friendship line, they obliterate it. But what might be mere sexual relief to Andy is serious business to Jake, who only recently got over years of secret pining for his straight best friend. Inevitably, the burns heal, summer ends, and hearts are broken. To fix things, Andy will have to face the greatest dare of all. Behind Closet Doors: Four stories of falling in love & coming out
Bookreview / October 19, 2016

Behind Closet Doors by L.A. Witt is a collection of four stories that all have one thing in common. Four couples from totally different worlds, all falling in love with someone and not only trying to make it work but also coming out to friends and family. Will they be able to make it work? A closeted politician and his smoking hot campaign manager. Two traumatized best friends who need each other more than ever. A grieving widower and a compassionate funeral director. A pair of musicians who can’t keep their hands off each other. And all of the men are more than willing and able to fight for their new found love, no matter what the outside world may think of it. This collection contains four stories, all full length and very well written. The titles are For The Living, From Out in the Cold, Where There’s Smoke, With the Band and all of them have been published before and are for sale separately. I love reading stories about coming out and about unlikely couples coming together and fighting for what they want against all odds. I have read L.A. Witt before and she has never before let me down and of course…

Spy Stuff
Bookreview / October 6, 2016

Spy Stuff by Matthew J Metzger is actually the first story I ever read that has a transgender character in the main lead. And I can tell you, I loved it. It broke my hear, made me laugh and cry and I just could not stop reading it until the very end. Absolute brilliance. Anton is transgender, he was born a girl and is now a boy. And because of that he thinks he will never be loved by anyone. After all, who would want a transgender boyfriend. He can hide it only for so long, but as soon as someone finds out they run for the hills. Until there is someone that doesn’t. Jude Kalinowski is as straight as they come, or so Anton always thought. Very very attractive for sure, but someone like Jude would never go for him. But when Jude does ask him out, Anton doesn’t know what to do. At some point he will have to tell the truth, but is there ever a good time to do that? And what will happen when Jude finds out what Anton is hiding? Anton slowly relaxed as Jude started to brighten up and just … talk. Jude…

Delicious
Bookreview / August 11, 2016

Delicious is the new novel by Sierra Riley and is all about dealing with small town fears and prejudice and making the best of your own life. In the end, we all have to decide for ourselves what we want and who we want it with. Gavin Campbell has build his own bakery from the ground up and that is something that makes him very proud. He really needs a sense of security, something he has been lacking in his childhood very much. He only has a small circle of friends and he works almost round the clock, so there is not much room in his life for anything else. He is convinced there is nothing missing in his life. Ben Edwards has been working for the family bank all his life. Everybody likes him, even all his ex girlfriends. All he ever did was some casual dating, there has been no woman who ever inspired him into more. Ben does all the banking for Gavin and when he asks him to be a part of a promotion campaign for the bank, Gavin accepts the offer. But when something happens that causes Gavin to be unable to work, Ben steps…

Starting New
Blogtour , Bookteaser / August 9, 2016

Hi, I’m S.C. Wynne and I write M/M romance with a little humor and generally a healthy serving of angst. Welcome to my blog tour for Starting New! For the next week I’ll share some posts about writing and my story Starting New. Join in the fun by leaving comments and enter to win a $30 Riptide gift card! About Starting New Life hasn’t been good to Francis Murphy. He’s survived twenty-one years of homelessness by hooking and taking handouts where he can find them. When the local shelter is vandalized, he’s forced to seek food at the Grace and Light Church, where he runs into the pastor’s son, Randy. Randy Wright believes the best in others. He’s immediately drawn to Francis, even though Francis is hardened and wary. When Francis is attacked by one of his johns, Randy and his family take him in and offer him temporary work. Randy always thought he was straight, but something about Francis has him yearning for more than just friendship, and realizing he might be bisexual. Francis is attracted to Randy too, and Randy and his parents say they’ve always believed in gay rights. But talk is cheap. What are the odds…

The Story of Jax and Dylan
Bookreview / July 28, 2016

The Story of Jax and Dylan is the new novel by Jamie Dean and plays out on the age old theme of best friends who fall in love, don’t know what to do with it and run away from each other until by chance they meet again years later and everything turns out to be just great and they have their HEA. This one is no different, but I liked it anyway. Dylan and Jax have known each other forever and have been best friends for as long as they can remember. But growing up Dylan starts having different feelings for Jax, feelings he knows he should not be having for his best friend. And the night before senior prom Dylan kisses Jax and hopes for the best. But Jax turns him down and runs. Dylan moves out of town before they get a chance to talk about and so Dylan spends over 10 years thinking Jax hates him for that kiss. After all those years Dylan comes across Jax on Facebook and accidently sends him a friend request. To his surprise Jax accepts the request and they start talking again. At first about old friends and memories, but quickly…
