Blogtour , Bookteaser / October 4, 2018

Hello, everybody! I’m Alex Whitehall, and I’m here today touring for my contemporary m/m romance, Hard Truths, which is about Isaac and Logan’s whirlwind romance, as well as coming out and what family means. But it’s not all angst and drama. In fact, I hope you’ll have as much fun watching these guys fool around as I had making them be goofs. AboutHard Truths He can’t have the family he wants, but he may get the love he deserves. Isaac didn’t expect to find love at his family’s Christmas dinner, but that was before he met his sister’s new fake boyfriend. Tall, muscular, and tattooed, Logan is what Isaac would love in a partner—and also everything his parents would hate in one. Not that they know Isaac’s gay. That doesn’t stop him from dating Logan—unbeknownst to his parents, and with his sister’s approval after she fake dumps him. The pair dive into a whirlwind romance of motorcycle rides, cheesy puns, and hot sex. They meet each other’s friends and fill their time with happiness and laughter. It’s all perfect. Until Isaac suggests they move in together, and Logan asks Isaac to come out to his parents. Isaac wants to, but…

A Way Home
Bookreview / April 15, 2015

A Way Home is the third and sadly the final part in the Gay Amish Romance series by Keira Andrews. And I for one was dying to read this. The first 2 parts are great and I have read them several times already. The third part is equally great, I absolutely LOVED it. Once I started reading I just could not stop reading, I needed to know how it ended. At the end of part 2 Isaac was forced back to Amish country to be with his sick brother, leaving David behind. Something happened between them and neither one was sure if they would be together again or not. Both gave in to insecurity and fear and their relationship suffered because of it. David is convinced he has to go after Isaac to win him back again, but will it be too late or not? Once again both boys are back in Zebulon with their families. Everyone is trying to get them to come back, repent for their sins and return home. It is the right thing to do and it would make everyone happy again. But Isaac and David want to be together and that can never happen in…

In this book we meet Isaac Byler, an 18 year old boy who lives with his parents and sisters in the small town of Zebulon, an Amish town. Isaac has always known he is different, but doesn’t know why. At his age he will soon take a wife and start a life of his own, but does he really want that? In the Amish group he lives in, every rule is very strict. They believe other Amish are to worldly and they are determined to live according to the bible in every way. As such, the practice of Rumspringa is not allowed. Rumspringa refers to the period where Amish children are allowed to go out in to the world and explore. After a while they have to decide if they want to stay in the outside world or want to come back to the church forever. David Lantz takes on Isaac as an apprentice and starts teaching him everything he knows about carpentry. But pretty soon feelings…
