Chasing Forever
Blogtour , Bookteaser / December 14, 2018

Chasing Foreveris the final book in the series This Time Forever. Brian and Mal’s story is special in all sorts of ways. Even though these books all standalone, Brian has been there since the beginning–as the character everyone loved to hate in the first book, and the character who seemed to have more to him in book two. In this final story, I share who Brian really is, and hope you’ll all come to love him as much as I do. Then there’s Mal, his other half, my serious soldier who has been waiting all his life for a challenge like Brian. Sometimes we have to be knocked lower than ever before in order to reach that high, and Mal’s journey is one I treasure. I hope you enjoy reading this story of redemption and learning to live out loud. About Chasing Forever Old wounds, new directions, and a forever worth chasing. Malcolm Montgomery was a history teacher and track coach until an accident left him with two broken legs. He’ll recover, but life has knocked his feet out twice now. He’s not sure if he’s ready to try again, especially when it comes to love—and slick guys like Brian…

Helping Hand – Housemates #1
Bookreview / October 6, 2015

Helping Hand (Housemates #1) by Jay Northcote is part 1 in the Housemates series. I read and reviewed part 2 here, so naturally I had to read part 1. Part 1 is a much shorter story and that is too bad because there is much potential in this story. Jez Fielding and James MacKenzie are housemates at Uni and have made a pact together. Both need to pick up their studies and do so much better. So they decide to be better, stay inside more and devote themselves to studying and nothing more. Several weeks into the pact, Jez suggests they watch some porn together to help them relax. Of course they will not touch each other and do nothing that could be considered “gay”. After all, masturbation is normal for every guy, isn’t it? But soon their arrangement changes and the boundaries blur. Jez finds himself more fascinated with James than with the porn and he is imagining all kinds of things they could be doing together. But James is straight and would never agree to that, would he? A little touching leads to kissing which leads to so much more, but when it is over they will not…

Like a Lover – Housemates #2
Bookreview / September 3, 2015

Like a Lover is the new novel by Jay Northcote and was send to me by the author requesting a review. It is part 2 in the Housemates series, but can be read separately. Some characters and the background are the same as in the first book. Josh is determined to get through university with a degree and zero debt. To make sure of the last part he works as a male escort. Hooking up with strangers and have lots of no strings attached sex is fine with him, since he has no time for a real relationship. He swore to himself he would never fall in love, especially not with a client. One night he has a client that doesn’t show up. Sitting around in the bar, his eye falls on the cute guy sitting at the bar. Rupert has seen Josh sitting at the bar all evening and instantly fell in love with him. When Josh approaches him and makes it clear that he expects to get paid for sex, Rupert cannot resist. He has never paid for sex, but for Josh he is willing to do anything. But one night of passion is not enough and he…
