Cronin’s Key II – Cronin’s Key #2
Bookreview / June 29, 2015

Cronin’s Key II is logically part 2 in the Cronin’s Key series by N.R. Walker. Now as we all know I absolutely love N.R. Walker for everything she writes, but this second part in the series, I am not so sure about. In part 1 we met Detective Alec MacAidan who got sucked in to a strange adventure and eventually fell in love with Cronin, a vampire elder who has lived for hundreds of years. They both survive and adventure in Egypt and return home. This is where part 2 picks up. All the danger is over and Alec and Cronin are enjoying their love. They know Alec’s blood is special and he cannot be changed into a vampire. So Cronin can bite him as much as he wants, nothing happens. But it turns out that drinking so much of the same blood has side effects and they soon become a problem. Marco Polo
Netflix , TV Show Review / December 31, 2014

Marco Polo is another Netflix Original series that premiered on December 12, 2014. The show is of course about Marco Polo and the time he spent in the court of Kublai Khan, the great Khagan of the Mongolian Empire at the time. Marco visited the Khan with his father on a trading journey, but his father left him in the care of the Khan as a bargain for safe passage. Marco quickly adapted to life in the court and eventually played a major role in history. The series was written and created by John Fusco and stars Lorenzo Richelmy in the title role. The series is produced by The Weinstein Company. The series was first announced in January of 2014, so it took almost a year to arrive. But it was definitely worth the wait. Don’t expect major battle like Lord of the Rings, but a lot of political intrige, drama and almost soap like storylines. However, all are based in reality and great care was take to asure all things are as they were in the time. I greatly advice anyone to go and see this show if possible, you are sure to have a good time.
