Red Dirt Christmas – Red Dirt #3.5
Bookreview / February 16, 2016

Red Dirt Christmas is, as the title shows, part of the Red Dirt Heart series by N.R. Walker and is meant as a little add on the story telling about the first Christmas Travis and Charlie spend together at Sutton Station, in the middle of the outback Australia. And just as the other 4 books in the series, I loved this small add on as well. This book is set somewhere between book 3 and book 4, so whatever happens in book 4 hasn’t happened yet. There is no marriage yet and some other things are not present yet either. Life at Sutton Station has never been better. Business is good, everyone is happy and all is going well. Except that Christmas is just around the corner and Travis really misses the way it was celebrated at home. But at Sutton Station Christmas is just another working day like all the others and no one really bothers about it. But Charlie knows that this Christmas is the first Christmas Travis spends at Sutton Station and far away from his family so he knows he has to make this a Christmas to remember. Until now they never bothered much with decorations, a…

Exchange of Hearts
Bookreview / December 13, 2015

Exchange of Hearts is the latest novel by one of my favorite authors N.R. Walker. As we all know I wasn’t a big fan of the Cronin series, but this book more than made up for it. I read this one in a few hours, just couldn’t stop until it was finished. I LOVED IT !! Harrison Haddon is 18 years old and has been alone all his life. Sure his parents are rich, but he has grown up surrounded by nannies and all material things he could wish for. But all he has ever wanted was the approval of his father. Now he is send away to boarding school and expected to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a doctor. But Harrison doesn’t want to be a doctor. He wants to be a classical pianist, but his parents would never allow such a thing. Then Levi Aston comes in for three months. On an exchange program from London, he is able to convince Harrison not to give up on his dreams so soon. Levi is a free spirit and always does whatever he wants to do. In those three months Harrison and Levi fall deeply in love and…

Cronin’s Key III – Cronin’s Key #3
Bookreview / October 17, 2015

Cronin’s Key III is the third part in the Cronin’s Key series by N.R. Walker and if it were up to me the last one in the series. Don’t get me wrong, I love N.R. Walker and she has written brilliant stories. But vampires are just not her thing and this third part proves it even more for me. The story is so wild, so unbelievable and so badly written at points I had to stop myself from throwing it away and never reading it again. As we all know at the end of part 2, Alec was finally turned into a vampire. And not just any vampire, because he is the Key, he is the best vampire of all vampires. He does not have just one power like most vampires, he has them all. Each and every power any vampire ever had, he has them. But even with all his powers, all Alec wants is to be alone with Cronin, his vampire lover. And once again the world is under attack and he has to save the day. This time it is the Zoan that attack the world. Joan are halve lycan, halve dragon and are seemingly unstoppable. They…

Sixty Five Hours
Bookreview / August 25, 2015

Sixty Five Hours is a novel by N.R. Walker originally published as a fan fiction. It is now re written and published with a different cover than the original. Nothing has changed in the story, so it doesn’t matter which version you read. As with all N.R. Walker stories so far I loved this one. It was sweet, romantic and very easy to read. If you are looking for romance, this is the one for you. Some slight feet fetish and sock fetish, but not too much. Cameron Fletcher and Lucas Hensley both work for the same advertising agency, owned by Lucas’ father. One Friday afternoon he calls both men into his office and gives them sixty five hours to come up with the campaign of their lives, to lure in a new client. They will be working all weekend and very close together. The two men don’t seem to get along, but now they must find a way to work together, not kill each other and come up with a great plan. The campaign is for a condom brand, that also creates sextoys and other things to use in the bedroom. Cameron is an out and proud gay man,…

Cronin’s Key II – Cronin’s Key #2
Bookreview / June 29, 2015

Cronin’s Key II is logically part 2 in the Cronin’s Key series by N.R. Walker. Now as we all know I absolutely love N.R. Walker for everything she writes, but this second part in the series, I am not so sure about. In part 1 we met Detective Alec MacAidan who got sucked in to a strange adventure and eventually fell in love with Cronin, a vampire elder who has lived for hundreds of years. They both survive and adventure in Egypt and return home. This is where part 2 picks up. All the danger is over and Alec and Cronin are enjoying their love. They know Alec’s blood is special and he cannot be changed into a vampire. So Cronin can bite him as much as he wants, nothing happens. But it turns out that drinking so much of the same blood has side effects and they soon become a problem. When they meet Jorge, a very disturbing vampire child with the gift of foresight, they learn of a new threat rising up on the borders of China and Mongolia. However it is not the threat Alec is afraid of. It is the man behind all of it, the…

Taxes and TARDIS
Bookreview / May 16, 2015

Taxes and TARDIS is a novel by N.R. Walker. Now we all know I love N.R. Walker in other posts and I will continue to do so in this one. This story is rather short at only about 100 pages, but it is so sweet and romantic. Brent Kelly is a self employed electrician, who knows all about his trade, but knows nothing about keeping accounts and taxes. Someone refers him to Logan Willis, a local accountant that can help him out. So Brent goes over there with a shoe box full of receipts and paper, expecting to see a boring old man. But Logan is certainly not that, although he is also not the type Brent usually falls for. Logan is a syfy lover with a weakness for Doctor Who and is a bit geeky and nerdy. But Brent doesn’t seem to able to get him out his mind and he wants to know more about Logan. They go out a few times, and both men realize they are falling in love. But will their love stand meeting some of their friends? And is Brent really into Logan or just into getting a big tax return? As a syfy…
