Firewall
Bookreview / June 28, 2016

Firewall is the new novel by Sierra Riley and is another take on the whole nerd – bodyguard theme. I enjoyed the story very much and I think you will too. Justin West is one of the worlds most sought after IT specialists. He is a wizard when it comes to computers, but his love life not so much. Because he has Aspergers he finds it very difficult to relate to other people and it actually makes other people feel weird about him. They don’t know how to deal with him and often treat him like the enemy or someone they could never be friends with. But one day he is framed for a massive security breach at the firm he works at and now not only his job is at stake, but also his life. Calder Lesley is a bodyguard and very good at his work. He deals with all kind of celebrities all the time and makes a very good name for himself. He is also Justin’s best friend, so when he learns about his trouble. No! Jocks Don’t Date Guys – Jock #2
Bookreview / May 2, 2016

No! Jocks Don’t Date Guys is the second part in the Jock series. I read part 1 in the past and I liked it very much. As you all know I have a special place in my heart for jock and nerd stories and this one falls right in that category. And I loved it so much ! Chris Jackson has always been raised learning one thing. Every man in his family dates and eventually marries a cheerleader. His father did, his brother did and everyone expect him to do the same. But what happens when Chris learns his attractions are different? Alonzo Martin is everything but a cheerleader. He is not blond and he most certainly doesn’t dress like a cheerleader. With black hair, combat boots and nail polish he tries very hard to not give in to the attention Chris is giving him. After all, why would a jock be interested in someone like him at all? It has to be some kind of trick to make him look stupid right? From the moment Chris saw Alonzo, he has been feeling weird things. There is something about this guy that makes him want to be a better man…

My Roommate’s a Jock? Well, Crap! – Jock #1
Bookreview / January 26, 2016

My Roommate’s a Jock? Well, Crap! is the first part in the new Jock series by Wade Kelly. Now I for one absolutely love the whole jock-nerd theme and so I was anxious to read this book. And I wasn’t disappointed at all, I loved this book. I can only hope the other parts will be just as great as this one. Cole Reid is gay and was publicly outed by his high school baseball team. Because of that he really really hates jocks of any kind and has become somewhat of a loner. He wants things to go his way and is somewhat of a neat freak. So when his roommate moves out to be with his girlfriend Cole is looking for a new roommate, but one that will live up to his expectations and rules. And absolutely no jocks allowed. So what does the manager send him as a replacement? Ellis Montgomery is messy, gorgeous, of course straight, and to top it all of a jock of the worst kind. So when he shows up at Coles door, accompanied by  some of his loud friends, Cole is about to have a heart attack. But a whole school year…

Tearing Us Apart
Blogtour , Bookteaser / October 21, 2015

Tearing Us Apart is the new novel by Amanda Clay and falls in the Young Adult section. I have not actually read the book but was asked to be part of the blog tour for the book. Therefore I cannot give an opinion about the book, but I do plan to read it in the future. Julian Pham is surviving high school. Openly gay, flamboyantly goth, and Vietnamese-American, he’s just about as different as his Oklahoma City high school can tolerate. He has good friends and a supportive family, which helps, but lately his family is changing and his friends have troubles of their own. Julian is afraid he’s being left behind. Then he meets Duncan. The star of the school basketball team, Duncan has never crossed Julian’s social path. A fateful encounter one cold night brings the two young men together, igniting a romance that neither of them expected, and that both can scarcely believe. But Julian and Duncan are in different places.  Julian is happily out, unconcerned with others’ opinions. And Duncan, while he knows who he is, isn’t ready to face the challenges of living out loud. Even as the two grow closer together, Julian begins to…

Taxes and TARDIS
Bookreview / May 16, 2015

Taxes and TARDIS is a novel by N.R. Walker. Now we all know I love N.R. Walker in other posts and I will continue to do so in this one. This story is rather short at only about 100 pages, but it is so sweet and romantic. Brent Kelly is a self employed electrician, who knows all about his trade, but knows nothing about keeping accounts and taxes. Someone refers him to Logan Willis, a local accountant that can help him out. So Brent goes over there with a shoe box full of receipts and paper, expecting to see a boring old man. But Logan is certainly not that, although he is also not the type Brent usually falls for. Logan is a syfy lover with a weakness for Doctor Who and is a bit geeky and nerdy. But Brent doesn’t seem to able to get him out his mind and he wants to know more about Logan. They go out a few times, and both men realize they are falling in love. But will their love stand meeting some of their friends? And is Brent really into Logan or just into getting a big tax return? As a syfy…
