A Second Harvest – Men of Lancaster County #1
Bookreview / May 1, 2017

A Second Harvest is part 1 in the new Men of Lancaster County series by Eli Easton and is all about a few of my favourite subjects. It has been a while ago since I read this book, but I still remember the pleasure I had when reading it. David Fisher has been living by the rules all his life, but never his own rules. Born in to a Mennonite family he has always obeyed his father and took over the family farm when his father died. He married and had two children, all as was expected of him. But it never was what he really wanted from life, and he has been denying himself all his life. Now both his kids are in college and his wife died. He is running the farm all alone, but all joy has gone from his life. That is, until he meets Christie Landon, who lives in a small house not far from him. Christie is a graphic designer and has been living in Manhattan all his life. But now he is looking for some peace and quiet and moved into a small house he inherited from his aunt when she died. Not…

Starting New
Blogtour , Bookteaser / August 9, 2016

Hi, I’m S.C. Wynne and I write M/M romance with a little humor and generally a healthy serving of angst. Welcome to my blog tour for Starting New! For the next week I’ll share some posts about writing and my story Starting New. Join in the fun by leaving comments and enter to win a $30 Riptide gift card! About Starting New Life hasn’t been good to Francis Murphy. He’s survived twenty-one years of homelessness by hooking and taking handouts where he can find them. When the local shelter is vandalized, he’s forced to seek food at the Grace and Light Church, where he runs into the pastor’s son, Randy. Randy Wright believes the best in others. He’s immediately drawn to Francis, even though Francis is hardened and wary. When Francis is attacked by one of his johns, Randy and his family take him in and offer him temporary work. Randy always thought he was straight, but something about Francis has him yearning for more than just friendship, and realizing he might be bisexual. Francis is attracted to Randy too, and Randy and his parents say they’ve always believed in gay rights. But talk is cheap. What are the odds…

The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist
Bookreview / July 5, 2016

The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist was first brought to my attention when I saw the movie of the same name with Anthony Hopkins in one of the lead roles. Now I have always been fascinated with religion and exorcisms so of course I had to read this book. Matt Baglio did a great job in writing this. It describes the life of an American priest who is sent to Rome to take a course in exorcism at the Vatican. During the course he is placed with a veteran priest who has performed many exorcisms and it is here that he learns there is so much more between heaven and earth then we ever thought possible. When he started the course he was a non believer, believing that no person could ever be possessed by the Devil or anyone else. But quickly he has to change his point of view when he sees and hears things he never thought possible. Could it be that the Devil really exists? The first thing he must learn is to see the difference between a real possession and mental illness. All his experiences force him to change the way he sees the…

Farm Fresh is book 1 in the new Naked Organics series by Posy Roberts and was send to me as an ARC, requesting a review. So thank you Posy for allowing me this honor. Jude Garrity is a regular visitor of a local farmers market. He is curious about a new way of living, but even more curious about the cute guy that works one of the stalls as the market. Hudson Oliva lives on a commune and works very hard to keep the commune going. The commune is all about providing queer people a safe haven and a place to live off the grid. Jude keeps asking Hudson questions about the place and how it is to live there. Soon Hudson realises he has to be completely honest about the place if he ever wants things to go further with Jude. Jude applies and eventually moves to Kaleidoscope Gardens, but his sexual hang-ups make it very hard for him to adjust. The commune is all about free sex, with anyone and everyone, even multiple partners if wanted. It takes a lot of time but in the end Jude starts to feel more comfortable, and is more certain about his…
