A Forbidden Rumspringa is part 1 in the Gay Amish Romance series by Keira Andrews. Part 2 is to be published in the beginning of 2015, with part 3 to follow later on. In this book we meet Isaac Byler, an 18 year old boy who lives with his parents and sisters in the small town of Zebulon, an Amish town. Isaac has always known he is different, but doesn’t know why. At his age he will soon take a wife and start a life of his own, but does he really want that? In the Amish group he lives in, every rule is very strict. They believe other Amish are to worldly and they are determined to live according to the bible in every way. As such, the practice of Rumspringa is not allowed. Rumspringa refers to the period where Amish children are allowed to go out in to the world and explore. After a while they have to decide if they want to stay in the outside world or want to come back to the church forever. David Lantz takes on Isaac as an apprentice and starts teaching him everything he knows about carpentry. But pretty soon feelings…
