Bookreview / January 11, 2017

Chaos & Hype is the first part in the new Dancer’s Series by Grein Murray. As you guessed from the title, all books in the series will be connected to dancing in one way or another. In this first book it is hip hop dancing. Skylar is really excited about his new job as a dancer in a theme park near his home. Finally a chance to show everybody it is possible to make a living doing what you love. He is paired up with Ryan, who is from Australia and only here for a summer job. Together they make up a routine as Chaos & Hype and quickly become popular with everyone. Skylar didn’t plan on falling in love with his dance partner and Ryan knows he will be returning home after the summer, but the attraction between them is just too strong to resist. They become closer and closer, the impending separation starting to affect them more and more. Soon they will have to make choices in life. Will they do what it takes to stay together or will they go their separate ways? I liked the story, but it wasn’t that good. Everything seemed to go real…

Phonebook

Phonebook is one of those books that makes you wonder once you read it “Why would anyone write this, let alone buy it and read it?” It is basically a story about two guys in love who cannot be together for some reason and engage in phone sex. I have no personal experience with phone sex, but I cannot imagine it would be any fun at all. Although I guess for some people that might be different. Phonebook is written by Amy Lane who I normally like very much. I know she can do better than this. The story was first published in 2010 and has now been re-released with a different cover. Ryan is away on business and all he can do is talk on the phone with his lover Scott. Scott is some what more playful but Ryan is to conservative to engage in phone sex and enjoy it. He is not able to relax enough to make it fun. But luckily his lover thought ahead and made sure he had all the necessary things to be able to get what he wants when on the phone together. The story is only 32 pages long so you will…
