Blueberry Boys is a novel by Vanessa North. I participated in the blogtour for this book, but didn’t get around to reading it until now. Jed Jones is very shy and has great difficulty in connecting with other people. All he wants is some land for himself and a man to share it with. But he is confined within his church and family and wants to be accepted for what and who he is. And now his precious farm is in the hands of Connor Graham, so maybe he will loose whatever he has…

How We Began
Bookreview / November 9, 2015

How We Began is an anthology put together for a special cause. All proceeds go to The Trevor Project, an organization dealing with crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth. Visit their site, it is a very good cause. All stories in this anthology revolve around the same theme. How does love begin? What happens when two people fall in love? Is it instant fireworks or does it take a bit longer than that? Some authors were known to me, some are new to me. But all in all the stories are a great read and certainly worth your money. TruNorth by Alexis Hall  Unexpected Dragons by Delphine Dryden In a world where everyone is able to turn into a dragon when they are ready, what happens when for the first time in a long time an all white dragon appears that breaths snow and ice instead of fire. How We Began – The Inspiration
Blogtour , Bookteaser / November 9, 2015

How We Began is an anthology with a special meaning. It tells us that love can start in many ways, no matter who you are, where you are or even what you are. The world is full of stories. We watch them in theaters and read them in books. We tell them to our children and hear them at the office. Short stories in three-second sound bites. (Our team won the game last night!) Long, drawn-out stories that are shared over the course of many months. (Did you guys catch the 724th episode of Zombie Valley Girl Meth Head last night?) And then there are the stories we write ourselves, a little more every day. Stories entertain us. Stories teach us. They give us choices. They open us up to the humanity in one another and in ourselves. So what would it be like if you never heard or read a story in which you recognized yourself? Or if you found a glint of familiarity in a newscast or anecdote, only to have the tale end horribly, tragically…no happily ever after for you? How We Began is a book for those people. More specifically, it’s a book for LGBTQ+ young…

Rough Road
Blogtour , Bookreview / September 30, 2015

This post is part of the blogtour for the latest novel by Vanessa North, called Rough Road. It is the second part of the Lake Lovelace series. I have been asked to be a part of the blogtour by the publisher Riptide Publishing and I am very happy to do just that. Lets start of by letting Vanessa tell us a bit about herself and how she became a writer in the first place. Author of over a dozen novels, novellas, and short stories, Vanessa North delights in giving happy-ever-afters to characters who don’t think they deserve them. Relentless curiosity led her to take up knitting and run a few marathons “just to see if she could.” She started writing for the same reason. Her very patient husband pretends not to notice when her hobbies take over the house. Living and writing in Northwest Georgia, she finds her attempts to keep a quiet home are frequently thwarted by twin boy-children and a very, very large dog. Her latest novel is called Rough Road and came out on September 28, 2015. It promises more sizzling romance, sweet love and even more wonderful men. So go out and buy this one people……..
