Signs of Life is part 2 in the Resilient Love series by Melanie Hansen and…
Unquiet is the third part in the Resilient Love series. After reading part 1 and part 2, I just knew I had to read this latest part as well. Heartbreaking and very very emotional, but I am so glad I read it.
The central element in all three stories is mental health issues. One or both of the MC’s are suffering from some kind of mental illness and need to learn to overcome that in order to find love or just be the one the other party needs. Melanie Hansen manages to do this so wonderfully beautiful, it makes me very emotional to read the stories. Melanie Hansen is high up on my absolute favorite list.
In part three we meet Loren Smith and Eliot Devlin. Loren has been in love with Eliot for as long as he can remember, but there has always been something weird about Eliot. And yet Eliot seems to be the only one able to understand Loren and make him feel less lonely.
But when Eliot attempts suicide, it leaves Loren devastated and broken. They drift apart and don’t see each other for 9 years. Then, by chance, they meet again. Loren is a police officer now, but Eliot has a lot of trouble in his life. In and out of mental institutions and in constant trouble with the law, he is the opposite of Loren. But Loren still feels very protective of Eliot and still needs to be with him no matter what.
But will it be enough for them? Will they be able to find what they need in each other?
OMG, this book was one emotional rollercoaster. It made me smile, it made me cry, sometimes I wanted to throw the book away but I just could not stop until the end. All I can say is WOW, just WOW. Everyone needs to read this one right now !!
