Rock Stars Are Trouble – Hooch in Hades 1

28964591Rock Stars Are Trouble is a novel by Kelly D. Smith and apparently part 1 in the Hooch in Hades series.. Smith that she requested me to read and review. It is not a book I would normally read, but I did and I liked it. There is no man on man action here, we are dealing with a straight couple here. It kind of reminded me a little bit of Fifty Shades of Grey, minus the SM stuff. But a nice story it is….

Kenda Lexan is a writer for a popular music blog, but she has to write something good or her job is on the line. She needs the money real bad and cannot afford to loose this, so she is looking for a great story. And thats when she meets Greyson Brant, a singer in an upcoming rock band. It just might be her big chance, but she knows from experience that rock singers are only trouble.

But when she finally meets Greyson, he turns out to be very different. He is actually nice to his fans and doesn’t live up to the rock star image at all. And he is seriously flirting with her. Kenda makes it clear she is not interested in anything, but he is very persistent. And when her sister ends up in the hospital and he shows up to give her support, she might just have to change her whole idea about him.

Meanwhile her boss is constantly nagging her about more information and when her ex turns up, asking for one more chance, she really needs to think about what she wants and who she wants.

Now I know the story isn’t original at all and has probably been done a thousand times before, but it wasn’t that bad at all. Some other reviews I read keep on talking about a serious lack of editing, but that did not bother me at all. Sure there were some mistakes in the story and I guess it could be a little longer. but all in all I liked it and read it with pleasure.

As far as I can see there is no personal page for this author. This book is for sale at Amazon.
