If Only in My Dreams
Bookreview / December 27, 2015

If Only in My Dreams is the latest Christmas themed novel by Keira Andrews, still one of my favorite authors to date. This story was on my list for quite some time, but I didn’t get around to it until recently. And all I can say is what a great story it is. So sweet, so romantic and so totally fitting for this time of year. I love it !! Charlie Yates promised his little sister Ava he would be home for Christmas and he is determined to do anything to make that happen. But when he gets to the airport everything is closed down because of some major snow storm. He decides to rent a car and drive across the country, but someone took the last rental car away just seconds before him. Luckily he knows the guy that rented it, but it is the guy he swore never to lay eyes on again after what happened between them. Gavin Bloomberg was Charlies childhood friend, until something happened between them and he was afraid to admit to the truth. He has been regretting this ever since but never got a chance to make it up again. Until he runs…

The Christmas Throwaway
Bookreview / December 10, 2015

The Christmas Throwaway is the new novel by R.J. Scott and I so very much liked this story. It has everything you could ever want in a Christmas story and it is sure to warm you up in the cold nights to come. Zachary Weston has been out on the street for a few days now. His father threw him out of the house after he told his father that he is gay and isn’t planning to change that in any way. His father is a strict military man and wants nothing to do with a gay son, so he has to go. Left with no money and no place to go, all he can do is sleep on a churchyard bench in the snow, dreaming of a better future with the guy of his dreams. Ben Hamilton is a young cop in a small town and he is the one who finds Zach on Christmas Eve, sleeping on a bench in the freezing cold. The boy is fresh from the city and doesn’t look like he would survive the cold. Ben wakes him up and decides to take him home for a hot shower and a bed for the…

A Fortunate Blizzard
Bookreview / December 9, 2015

I already posted about this book in the beginning of November, because I was part of the blogtour. But this time I read the story and decided I needed to give my own opinion about the story. Because boy what a story it was. So sweet, so lovely and it brought me close to tears at points. I urge anyone to read this story and enjoy it as much as I did. Trevor Morrison is an artist and is really enjoying his life. And with good reason, as his days are numbered. He has been on the transplant list for ages and now his doctor tells him he needs a transplant soon or there is no point in trying anymore. Because of this he has decided romance is of the table for him, he could never put anyone through loosing him so soon. Marcus Roberts is a high power attorney who is a true workaholic. Everything has to wait in order for him to make partner at his firm and he has been working day and night to get there. He has no time for friends, let alone romance. His family abandoned him long ago, so he is all alone…

Winter Wonderland is the third part in the Minnesota Christmas series and focuses on the story of the one remaining character, Paul Jansen. For several days now someone has been leaving giant snow penis sculptures in his front yard and he has no clue who would do that. Does he have a secret admirer? Paul really wanted a relationship but there was no other man to be found anywhere. Of course there is Kyle Parks, who has been working as a nurse and is really in love with Paul. Kyle is 25 years old, but Paul thinks  he is far to young for anything serious, so he doesn’t even look twice at Kyle. So Kyle decides he has to gets Pauls attention another way. Kyle and Paul both end up working on the towns Winter Wonderland project, together with all the guys we met in part 1 and 2. Kyle has never been this close to Paul, so this is his one chance. Sleigh Ride – Minnesota Christmas #2
Bookreview / December 4, 2015

Sleigh Ride is the second part in the Minnesota Christmas series by Heidi Cullinan. Also set in the same small town, but this time focusing on another member of the lumberjack team. Frankie and Marcus, wo we met in part 1 are also in the story, but only as secondary characters. They are living together and are very happy together. Marcus reopened his law practice in town and Frankie started his own salon, taking care of all the people in town. In the second part we meet Arthur Anderson, a fiery redhead and quite recently “dumped” by his “boyfriend” Paul. Of course they never were really together, but just fuckbuddies. So when Paul decides it is enough, he moves out and leaves Arthur alone. Arthur doesn’t want anything to do with love and romance ever again, he decides it is not for him anymore. So when his mother is pushing him to be the Santa in her fundraising scheme, he most certainly doesn’t want to do it. Especially since it is an obvious scheme to push him together with Gabriel Higgins, the towns librarian, who is very obviously gay and nerdy. But when he gets to know the man behind…
