Magic Runs Deep
Blogtour , Bookteaser / April 11, 2018

Hello, everybody! I’m Alex Whitehall, and I’m here today touring for my fantasy novel Magic Runs Deep, which is about one man’s search to find himself—and true freedom—after a long imprisonment, and the path to trust that he follows along the way. About Magic Runs Deep For the last five years, Veier has been chained to a king’s throne in his bear form. When a neighboring kingdom overthrows the crown, Veier’s imprisonment ends, but true freedom is not so easily earned. With blood on his hands, he needs someone with patience, strength, and trust to help him become the person he was before and prove to the invaders that he isn’t the monstrous king’s loyal pet. Elrid, the invading king’s brother and a powerful mage, is everything Veier despises. He’s also the only thing between Veier and execution, because he thinks he can help Veier change from an aggressive bear shifter into a reasonable man. While the pair have a rough start, with long talks and mutual leaps of faith, they begin to care for each other. However, the closer Veier gets to his freedom, the closer he is to losing Elrid. He must find balance in his heart and…

Her Fiery Viking – Her Elemental Viking #1
Bookreview / April 3, 2016

Her Fiery Viking by AJ Tipton is not a book I would normally read, but AJ asked me personally to read it and let her know what I thought of it. And I gladly accepted and read the whole thing in go. There is no M-M here, this one is about a M-F relation. But not just any relation. Her Fiery Viking is, as the title suggests, about the love between an ancient Viking cursed with immortality by a witch  and a young sexy engineer named Joanna. Oh and one more thing, whenever Mikkel gets angry he bursts into an uncontrollable ball of fire, killing everything around him. Mikkel started an engineering company together with his brothers and they are doing well. Until one day Joanna walks in, looking for a job. Mikkel has a reputation for banging every woman in the office, but Joanna doesn’t seem to fall for him so easily. And that alone makes him want her. But what will she do when she learns about his little secret? The story contains some hot romance, high speed car racing and love that will last forever. Author Bio AJ Tipton is the pseudonym of a writing team: Annie…

Winter Oranges
Bookreview / February 1, 2016

I participated in the Winter Oranges blog tour a few weeks ago, you can find that post here. I was very intrigued by the story and I already knew I wanted to read it for myself. And now I finally did and I was not disappointed. It is sort of a Christmas story but very romantic and sweet, so it will definitely make you feel good. Winter Oranges is a novel by Marie Sexton and I think she did a great job with this story. I read the whole thing in two days and I just had to know how it ended, even though the ending was a little bit predictable. That is, I knew what had to be done about half way through the story. Anyway, back to the story. Jason Walker is a child star who’s sick of his failing acting career. He rents a house in northern Idaho, far away from press, drama and the friend he has secretly loved for years, but who never returned that love. But when he arrives at the house, he finds the house is also home to a ghost, Benjamin Ward. He soon learns Ben isn’t a ghost, but was once…

Top Me Maybe?
Bookreview / August 30, 2015

Top Me Maybe is a book by Jay Northcote. It is a nice and sweet short story about hidden desires and asking for the things you want. It predates the book All Man that I read before, so some of the characters are the same. Both books can be read separately though. Tyler has a new boyfriend, Duncan. Duncan is cop and everything Tyler ever wanted. Tall, broad and very very manly. For the slightly feminine Tyler it is a match made in heaven. But Duncan has one secret desire he wants to discuss with Tyler, but is afraid to do so. So one night they start talking about sexual fantasies. What would you like to do or have done to you if it were possible? Duncan decides this is his chance to get his wish out in the open. Luckily for him, Tyler is very into his wish and only to happy to make it happen. It will take some work and getting used to, but in the end both men will be better because of it. A small excerpt from the story: “What do you want to talk about?” Tyler thought for a moment then answered, “Sexual fantasies.” They…

Wild Hunt
Bookreview / August 6, 2015

Wild Hunt is the debut novel by Monica Baker. I was personally asked by the author to review this novel for this blog and I was glad to do so. This novel is heavily set in Norse mythology and deals with gods, giants and dead people. The God Loki fell in love with a mortal woman over 3000 years ago. Then she was killed when his house was raided and he has been begging for her life ever since. Never able to forget this woman, he would do anything to have her back again. Finally he manages to get her released and she is reborn into Miriam. Miriam is a baby born out of wedlock and as such always the subject of ridicule and mockery in the little community she lives in. Her mother died giving birth to her and she was raised by her uncle, who never loved her, but did provide for her. Loki is allowed to love her again, but she has no idea who she is or where he comes from. She has to give herself to him willingly and out of her own free will before they can be together again. So he protects her…
