Sand & Water
Bookreview / June 30, 2015

Sand & Water is another book by Shae Connor, actually the second one I read from this author. I liked it, although it was a bit slow here and there. Not that much sex involved, but a whole lot of romance and love. John McConnell is a widower raising his young daughter alone on the island of Tybee in Georgia. He is living with his sister and trying to get his life back together after his wife died. At the moment there is no way he is going to be dating again, let alone find that special person again. Until he meets Bryan Simmons in the park, father to one of his daughters friends. John hasn’t always been straight in the past, so it is no strange feeling for him when he finds Bryan attractive. The feelings are mutual and Bryan also has strong feelings for John. But Bryan has a lot of emotional baggage of his own that he needs to deal with. Together they learn to deal with their feelings and start putting the demons to rest. For the first time in a long time they start feeling loved again and actually think there can be something more…

Ethan in Gold – Johnnies #3
Bookreview / May 31, 2015

Ethan in Gold is part 3 in the Johnnies series by Amy Lane. Once again we learn more about one of the stars at Johnnies and the life they have outside of porn. At a very young age Evan Costa learned that love is never unconditional and that you should learn to make do with what you get instead of what you want. His mother is very controlling and that makes the whole family suffer. Never once is he touched lovingly by anyone and that leaves deep scars. But when Evan becomes Ethan and works as a porn model for Johnnies he gets exactly what he wants. Lots of physical contact and love, or as close as possible to it. For now he is happy with what he gets. Until he meets Jonah Stevens, who works at the local pet store. Jonah has done nothing in his life but help other people and is very shy about his body. He has almost no confidence in himself. He looks at Evan like a man, not as a porn star. Ethan looks at Jonah like a kindred spirit, but not as relationship material. He would never be good enough for Jonah and…

Dex in Blue – Johnnies #2
Bookreview / May 31, 2015

Dex in Blue is part 2 in the Johnnies series and plays out in the same background as Chase in Shadow, part 1. Ten years ago, David Worral had it al. But because of some freak accident he lost it all and ran away. He is now Dex, who works at Johnnies. He started off as a pornstar, but is now right hand to the owner and the guy who takes care of everything, basically running the company. One night, he meets Kane, who is also working at the business, but looses his house and is looking for a place to stay. Dex offers him a bed for a few nights, just until he finds something else. What could be the harm in that? Kane is a big and muscular guy, but very very friendly indeed. But then one thing leads to another and the two boys end up in bed together. They find they fit together very much and can’t live without each other any more. But both guys have troubled pasts and must learn to live with that and their past. Will they be able to heal each other and find love together? I also liked part 2…

Just a Bit Unhealthy – Straight Guys #3
Bookreview / April 25, 2015

Just a Bit Unhealthy is the third book in the Straight Guys series by Alessandra Hazard. And just like the other 2 books, this one is hot hot hot. The basic story in all books is the same. we have a straight guy and a gay guy. The straight guy starts to think about if ┬áhe really is straight and is willing to experiment with the gay guy. And then one thing leads to another. In this third book the straight guy is Gabriel DuVal, rising soccer star. The gay guy is Jared Sheldon, team physician. Everyone thinks they are just good friends and nothing more. But Gabriel isn’t so sure anymore about his feelings for Jared. He knows that Jared has always been in love with him, but knows it will never be. Gabriel is straight with a girlfriend and that’s it. Or is it? After School Activities
Bookreview / April 1, 2015

After School Activities is a novel by Dirk Hunter, the first of this author I read. But if all other stories are like this one, it won’t be the last. The story is good, sweet and romantic, but could use a little work here and there in my opinion. In the story we meet Dylan O’Connor, gay, out and proud. He has a secret crush on the guy that has been tormenting him for as long as he can remember, two best friends who would do anything for him. But then one day, life decides to change around on Dylan. His secret crush Adam turns to him for help and reveals a secret he has never told anyone. Maybe this guy is not so shallow as we all think? And his best friend Kai suddenly makes a move on him and they end up in bed together. Yes it is nice and horny, but is it what Dylan really wants? For the first time in his life Dylan has to decide what he wants in his life and from the men in his life? Will he give Adam a chance? Will the friendship with Kai survive? And what is wrong…
