Love Jake – Rags and Riches #2
Bookreview / April 10, 2016

Love Jake is part 2 in the Rags and Riches series. A few weeks ago I already reviewed part 1, now I will review part 2. As I already stated with part 1 I loved it, and that hasn’t changed with part 2. The basis concept is the same. A rich guy meets a poor guy in the street, likes him and they build up a relation after gaining trust and friendship. I am a great fun of this basic concept and E.M. Leya manages to work it out perfectly. Love Jake is a perfect add to the series, and I have already learned there will be a part 3 soon. Jay has worked very hard all his life, determined to be the attorney in the state. His one goal in life is to help others and see them grow after he helped them. However his personal life is a disaster. Every night when he comes home his house is dark and cold. At first he thought that is what he wanted, but he hates it more and more. But where to find the perfect guy? Chris was kicked out on the street by his parents when they learned he…

The Invasion – Animorphs #1
Bookreview / March 11, 2015

Animorphs is an English science fiction series that ran from 1996  to 2001 and was published by Scholastic Publishing. The basic idea was 5 kids who received the power to morph into any animal they touched. This power was given to them by an alien who crash-landed on Earth and then died. He told them of a coming invasion of Earth and they would need the morph power to fight back. The story revolves around five humans, Jake, Marco, Cassie, Rachel, and Tobias, and one alien, Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill (nicknamed Ax), who obtain the ability to morph into any animal they touch. Naming themselves “Animorphs” (a portmanteau of “animal morphers”) they use their ability to battle a secret alien infiltration of Earth by a race called the Yeerks. The Yeerks are a parasitic race of aliens resembling large slugs that take humans as a host by entering and merging with their brain through the ear canal. The Animorphs fight as a guerilla force against the Yeerks, led by Visser Three, and their program to take over the human race. Morphing into animals allows them to battle the various armies of aliens that the Yeerks use, but it also protects their identities. As far as the Yeerks know,…
