Beyond Belief: My Secret Life Inside Scientology and My Harrowing Escape is a book written by Jenna Miscavige Hill and Lisa Pulitzer. Jenna Miscavige Hill is the niece of David Miscavige, the current leader of the Church of Scientology. As such she was a part of the church from an early age on, including her whole family. As long as she knew she was trained to obey and never to question the church or its leaders. But when she was 21 years old, she made a run for it and escaped. Now for the first time she talks about her time in the Church, what really happened inside and how she managed to get out. She reveals all and leaves nothing out. Being separated from her parents for a very very long time, working long hours and having your personal freedom limited to the extreme. We learn more about the rituals in the church and the things people are taught to believe. The word of founder L. Ron Hubbard is law and no one dares to say other wise.
